Trace of Light
8 - 26 November 2017
Opening Wednesday 8 November, 6.30-8pm
Each work in this exhibition has its own story about how I understand personal meanings of light.
Light in my work is not a physical form of object that is visible. It creates various perspectives of idea, emotion and atmosphere based on my orientation in life. It also is describes, in certain conditions, the way I feel: this is reflected in the title of the works. The idea of light is important for me in the work because it gives me the reason and significance of being alive and valued.
Immersing my feelings into subtle colours, I have looked to create peaceful images. The random wave patterns and undulations of landscape form are inspired by the magnificence and beauty of ever-changing cloudscapes suggesting a dreamy abstract space.
