FEATURING: Jenny Barker, Susan Gillett, Susan Groves, Pamela Heath, Jayne Higgins,
Anne Lillecrapp, Janice McBride, Pam McQueen, Carol Morris
We are a group of nine in this exhibition. We paint together, draw together, socialise together and some of us have travelled in Australia and overseas together. What binds us is the love of what we do.
Each piece reflects an experience, emotion or an observation keenly felt. In Jayne Higgins' abstracted seascapes. In Sue Groves' collage and painted works. The love of gardens and plants shown in Anne Lillecrapp's paintings and mono prints. The freely painted landscapes with a Japanese feel in the line work by Sue Gillett. The curious and intriguing hares and birds by Pamela Heath. The loosely painted and colourful still life and street scape by Jenny Barker. The figurative, almost naive, beach painting by Pam McQueen. Carol Morris' large evocative trees, painted upholstered chairs. A mono print, city paintings and frottage drawing by Janice McBride.
Individual variations in our inspiration, interpretation and technical approach enriches the experience of working as a group - we have mounted seven successful group exhibitions in the past.
