Words invigorate meditation,
words inspire thought,
words draw contemplation and conjure memory out of interpretation.
After Words is a group of photographic responses to the power and significance of words.
How words can greatly affect us, via intricate text, beautiful prose, or purely a simple story. Foolish hard and sharp words flung in anger. Wrong words. Old words or hieroglyphics, once vital or trivial, carried to us from a time before, now warped with age and decay. A word can illustrate a thing but also be one.
Written language may be seen by some as out-dated, in our digital, video, memetic period. But cyber movements are mute and impermanent without power.
Words leave lasting and various traces. Some will shake us to our core, some will move us to act and some will gift contented silence, after cherished words that no one else could ever detect.
