17 September - 5 October 2014
Opening Wednesday 17 September, 6.30-8pm
I spent my formative years as an art student in London in the 1970s where I became influenced by Abstraction and Minimalism. As a consequence, my paintings embrace a pared down aesthetic and are essentially, minimalist. I'm drawn to order and simplicity; I like straight lines, simple shapes and contrasting colours. I count Frank Stella, Piet Mondrian and Paul Klee amongst my heroes.
I regularly exhibit in group shows and am the recipient of three Victorian art prizes. This is my third solo show at Tacit Contemporary Art.
