27 April - 15 May 2016
Opening Wednesday 27 April, 6.30-8pm
My work tells the story of life's unpredictability. It demonstrates that colour can be drawn from dismal situations. My paintings explore a psychological state of mindfulness - a chaotic stillness.
This body of work is a subjective perspective on handling every day life, living with chronic pain and PTSD. The title Mindfulness directly relates to how I handle this and paint in a deep meditative state. They represent the full spectrum of emotions. I resolved these pieces through a combination of mixed media and deliberate mark making on canvas.
Undoubtably, my aim is to evoke happiness, peace and an overall feeling of content.
