"My work draws on the rich folk traditions and styles of my native Poland. In my practice traditional paper cutting techniques are transposed into various print making techniques, creating highly layered, often unique state works which unify the folk imagery I utilise with my own elaborations on these patterns and styles.

My continued use of this visual language is a result of my yearning for and strong identification with a distinct cultural and physical landscape which I find myself feeling a simultaneous distance and closeness to."
