Tools are said to be a measure of intelligence and have marked significant milestones in human evolution

Tools have always been necessary in my work as a sculptor, a Preparator at Museums Victoria, a prop maker, a spray painter and airbrush artist.

Creating these objects is a culmination of many skills over the years. In my first year of art school, my intention was to study painting - but in placing painting as a major, Clive Murray White, the senior sculpture lecturer, informed me that by choosing painting, I would paint. If I chose sculpture, I could do anything. I chose sculpture: he was right.
