'Chromatopia'

Chromatopia: An Illustrated History of Colour by David Coles reveals the origin stories of over 50 of history’s most extraordinary pigments. Published by Thames & Hudson, Coles’ book is a labour of love from the author, a man affectionately known as ‘the pigment whisperer’.

The book is a follow-on from the acclaimed and hugely popular Chromatopia exhibition presented at Tacit in the middle of last year. The official launch of the book at Tacit ‘s new premises is a therefore felicitous and welcome occasion. Award-winning photographer Adrian Lander produced the stunning images in the book and featured in the exhibition.
