Janet Wolf - 'Inside & Out'

In these works in gouache and watercolour on paper, Janet Wolf has focussed on the quiet intimacy of the everyday. Whether in the vase of daffodils and piano at home or the majestic stones and trees of Coliban Park, she has looked to imbue observed moments in time with warmth and colour. Thus, subject matter is both Inside and Out, often with gates, doors or windows from one to the other. The title also refers to the physical external world and the artist’s expression of the internal world.
