Ruth McIntosh - 'Youthful Inspirations'

 In this series of watercolour portraits, Ruth McIntosh celebrates the joy of youth immersed in many different artistic endeavours ranging from art curators to opera singers. She looks to display the different moods of creativity, whether it be excitement, trepidation or perseverance. Overall, she is showing each artist’s confidence in expressing themselves and their art form.

Ruth Mcintosh has worked for many years as a portrait artist as well as teaching art and graphic design. She has worked in oils and acrylic and now concentrates on using watercolour for large paintings and for illustrations for various books.
