Sam Hardy
I am bad at the painting thing, so I’ve turned to the medium of using digital objects which are then manipulated into brick creations and presented in a photorealistic form as digital prints.
These creations reflect my observations of people, places and objects, many drawn from items from the queer scene but also dashes of Australiana that aim to explore a sense of identity, augmenting them with a quirky twist.
I also try to inject a dose of humour and irony into their staging while utilising bold colours so it can be seen across the gallery floor, or from across the street.

2021 Fellas
Delayed from January, Tacit's annual Midsumma Festival group exhibition graces the walls of the gallery. Celebrating gay and queer art and artists alike, PINK is sensual, sexy, barbed, abstract, fetish and, in some instances, wearable. Bodies, objects and urges (plus a little more) are there to be experienced. The best in contemporary art that is sexy, suave and oh so queer.
