Yeonjoo Park - 'Trace of Light'

Each work in this exhibition has its own story about how Yeonjoo Park understands her personal meaning of the light.

The light in her work is not a physical form of object that is visible. It creates various perspectives of idea, emotion and atmosphere based on her oriented life. The light is also described in certain conditions of how she feels and it is individually shown in the title of the works. The idea of the light is an important subject matter for her because it offers the reason and the significance of being alive and valued.

Immersing feelings into subtle colours, Park looks to create peaceful images. The random wave patterns and undulations of landscape form are inspired by the magnificence and beauty of ever-changing cloudscapes suggesting a dreamy abstract space.
